AgeLoc TR90: IT DOES NOT WORK AS WELL AS IT CLAIMS

Yes, 3 months is not up yet, but I've given up on TR 90. And if my title is not blatant enough, I shall repeat myself.
AgeLoc TR 90 does not work.

Before I get to my own opinions, let's share a few comments I've gotten along the way.

And the same goes for TRA (TR90's predecessor)
one after another, 'no results' 'no results' 'no results'

and finally, one that claims to have lost substantial weight via TRA, who didn't sound as much as a hardcore distributer....

Basically she just slapped it on me (or us) that it's really all about controlling food intake.

And tell me, do you need to spend 1.8 to 2.5k to learn discipline? Chances are, like me, if you cannot be on a strict diet, no matter how many grands you throw in, you will not be able to stick to it.
Say, even if you did manage to stick strictly to the 3333 diet with shakes for that 3 months, can you stick to it forever?
No snacking, no chocolates, no ice creams, no sweet treats, no fried food, no fast food, more veggies, less meat, less carbs.... FOREVER
Or do you believe that this brilliant (-ly expensive) product will really confirm you no rebound regardless of what diet you revert to after the 3 months?

I know I'll probably get bombarded by their distributors for coming up with this post. But I really hope that those ladies (and gentlemen) out there who are currently being prospected by these distributors can really think it through and make a wise decision.
If it's not for my cousin, I would have used the money on a gym membership instead.
The golden rule of weight management is always to exercise more and eat in moderation. And in my own humble opinion, this set of products that cost you as much as an annual gym membership is lacking in every single way to be comparable to the latter.

If, in spite of all these true stories on how this product will not work as well as those distributors claimed, and you'll still wish to spend the money to try it out for yourself, I highly recommend that you buy them through amazon.com to avoid getting prospected by unscrupulous distributors instead.

Till then,
Mia

AgeLoc TR90 Tracker: 6th Week's Update

Frankly speaking I have no idea what else to update either. It has been 6 weeks (actually as I'm writing this entry it's more than 6 weeks) and no changes in my body. Following the advice of many distributors (or business partners, as what they prefer to call themselves for whatever reason) who contacted me through email, to increase my food intake, I've done likewise but still.... no results seen.
I've seen quicker results (increase in muscle content + drop in fat content) by working my arse off at the gym.
Face it, this doesn't work unless perhaps you really put yourself in a strict diet and doesn't eat even 1 baby bite of something that's not in the 'recommended' diet.
So for those who are seriously considering spending the 1.8k to try out this 3 months program only after reading (possibly fake) reviews of how quick results were seen even when they tend to 'cheat' on the diet every now and then, please reconsider.
SGD 1.8k is not a small sum to waste like this.

Plus, all the pills swallowing is traumatising. It really didn't help when their lifepak (the multi-vitamins mix of 4 large pills per packet) actually stinks and putting them in my mouth makes me want to gag.
So my decision to just stick to Control and Complex and chuck lifepak aside while trying my best to persuade the distributor my cousin bought her sets from to let me exchange for other less nauseating products. She agreed to let me exchange them for the other green tea extract product, which comes in capsules (so no stinking smell) and requires less daily intake.
And after this agreement, no more follow up.
And why am I not surprised?

Oh well, I guess I have no choice but to continue bugging her for the exchange, I guess. The boxes of lifepak are just collecting dust in a corner anyway. No harm being annoying to get my money back, albeit in another form.

Fellow true TR90-eaters, do share your progress with me either via comments or email. Any form of truthful, good advice is more than welcomed.

Till then,
Mia

AgeLoc TR90 Tracker: 4th Week's Update

I remembered I've done a 3-change update 2 weeks ago and unfortunately, I believe I have to make some changes to it. Yes, the constipation part.
To my greatest disappointment, I realised that the item that helped alleviate my constipation problem wasn't TR90, but Ya Kun's coffee. It was then that I realised, after starting on TR90, I've been reporting back to HQ more often as my site work has decreased significantly, hence I indulge in a cup of hot Ya Kun kopi siew dai every single morning.
So yup, 1 brownie point taken off from TR90.

And after ranting on the lack of help, I've received emails from a handful of helpful distributors claiming their success stories with TR90/TRA and also heard some frustrations from non-distributor TR90 eaters, stating that it really doesn't work on them, AT ALL.
Hmm, why such a trend? I'm so very curious.

Thanks for all the feedback sharing, fellow (honest) TR90-ers, do keep the comments coming in and let's keep going and updating each other. :)

Oh well, the 1.8k has been spent (answering one of the question posted in one of the TR90 tracker post only now, sorry I didn't notice that my reply to you didn't get posted.) and what else can I do other than to follow through with this programme and try to make the best out of it?

So now, after striking off the cure of constipation off the benefit list, I realised there's really nothing that I can boast of with TR90. So for my 1st month's update, I'm very emotionally disturbed to tell you guys, that no results or whatsoever has been achieved.

One of the distributors claimed that it's because I've not been eating well enough, hence I can't lose any weight with TR90. I've been counting calories for almost 1 year till date and I'm eating a minimum of 1200kcals daily, with relatively less carbs and proteins, and more vegetables and fruits. A body analysis shows that my body metabolism rate is 1250kcal as well. So why am I still not eating enough?!
Nevertheless, I shall half-heed her advice and give it a shot, changing my breakfast intake from just an ordinary jam bun to home-made sandwich with multi-grain bread and including sources of protein (from meat and non-meat) and vegetables.
It has been 1 week since I started the nutritious breakfast diet and my weight has INCREASED from 62.5kg to 62.8kg.
But as this increased has been preempted by the distributor, I shall stick to the same diet and see how it goes.
If by the next fortnight my weight is STILL increasing with no increase in muscle mass/drop in body fat, then GOD SAVE MY F*CKED UP DIETING LIFE.

Till then,
Mia

AgeLoc TR90 Tracker: 2nd Week's Update

First up, this will be a backdated entry, dated 30th October 2013. I've chosen not to post this entry first because I didn't want to 'intrude' in my series of Australia getaway posts. So yup, here's my updated as of 30th October!

For a foodie like me, especially one with a sweet tooth. TR 90 is tough, especially when the agent who sold you your set doesn't do any follow up with you. I got this set from my cousin, not sure if she's a distributing agent or what, though. My guess is a no because she mentioned she bought a few sets at one shot to be a member and is just selling away her extra sets. So I'm left without any agents to follow up with my progress and looking at reviews from all over the place, your agent plays a huge part in the success of TR 90 because while on the programme it's extremely important that you eat well. A lack of nutrient intake will actually hinder your weight loss progress. From the look of it, I'm not doing very well with the diet.

But that aside, for this first fornightly update in my 3 months of TR 90 experience, there are 3 aspects in me that I've experienced some noticeable changes.

1. My pee turned bright, highlighter shade of yellow initially (due to Vit B) and has since gotten better with more intake of water.

2. Constipation problems... Huh, what constipation? *rofl* Ever since starting on TR90, I've been moving my bowels regularly, once to twice a day. On days when I "shelf off" such toilet visits, I will end up visiting the toilet 3 to 4 times the next day. And yes, unlike other detox products (B*cough*&*cough*H from *coughcough* LFI) which gave me acute tummyache and uncontrollable diarrhoea throughout my entire bottle (which last 1 mth!), TR 90 actually gives me controllable bowel movement!

3. Total weight loss of 1.5kg.

I know my weight loss is shamelessly little because nobody is monitoring my progress and I eat everything. Be it curry chicken with 2 hand size full of white rice, or fried rice, nasi briyani, kfc, mcdonald's.... Anything but the "recommended diet".
Swallowing 16 pills a day and having that yucky shakes for dinner every single day is also a huge challenge for me. It's been only 2 weeks out of the 3 months and I'm already nauseated by it. The water and pills basically has already filled up my tummy and I can hardly stomach more 'nutritious' food, and as brought up previously we need to eat well while on TR90 in order to lose more.  The shakes too, has reached a point of nauseating for me. The recommended amount of milk to be added is 300 ml and I'm always pouring away about 100ml of the mixture every night. But I guess that's because I now finish my veggies first before I have the shake, so basically I'm already half full when I drink them.

But oh well, the financial damage has been done so what else can I do other than to hold on for the 3 mths?

So stick around for my next fornightly update. And if you're also currently on TR90, do share with me your experience, I could really do with some help here. :)

Till then,
Mia

Mia's Tracker: Nu Skin's AgeLoc TR90

Yes, I've decided to do a series of periodic tracking post on my progress (hopefully) on AgeLoc TR 90. For those who have no idea what's TR 90 about, you can read them up HERE. Basically, it's a newer, better version of their previous weight management programme called TRA.

Frankly speaking, the pricey-ness of this programme aside, I was also horribly put off by the amount of pills I have to pop on a daily basis. There are 16 of them! T.T
But I totally jaw-dropped when my cousin (who sold the set to me after buying 3 at one go) told me she's still popping 29 pills daily with her TRA. 29 versus 16? I've no problems with my mathematics.

So here's the load she hauled over to my workplace earlier this week.
First up, is 15 days work of TR 90 Jumpstart, which is literally to jumpstart the entire programme. I dissolve it in 2 ounces of water and drink it in the morning on an empty stomach, along with the 4 pills I'm supposed to take 20 minutes before my breakfast. Taste wise, it's pretty funky albeit faint and diluted. I'll strongly recommend dissolving it in just the bare minimum amount of plain water (which is 2 ounces) and drinking it one shot. Don't think of adding it into your morning milk, milo or coffee. Don't ever think of trying that.

Then, there's TR 90 Complex and TR 90 Control. Both to be taken as 2 capsules twice daily, 15 to 20 minutes before meals.

And then there's LifePak, which is just some multi-vitamins to ensure that we still get all the vitamins we need even on a controlled diet, with 4 pills to be taken twice daily.

Trimshake in Chocolate Flavour, 1 packet to be taken in place of carbohydrates and protein for dinner daily. The diet of TR 90 is very simple. It's basically to cut down (but not remove completely) on carbohydrates and protein (meat etc), and eat more of vegetable and fruits. On top of it, to replace the carbs and protein with the replacement shake for every dinner. Yup, that's it. To be honest, I'm already on a no carbs dinner for quite a while (but of course my lunch are always super high carbs to make up for the 'lost') so the dinner diet is really no biggie for me. Just that after having the shake, I'm actually too full for my veggies and fruits.
However, breakfast and lunch wise is a chore to follow. So up till now (it's been 5 days?) I've yet to follow the 'correct' TR 90 diet plan for my breakfast and lunch. :p
Oh well, I shall work harder on that. But it's really hard given my working condition.... I'm keeping my finger cross that I'll still get results.

And lastly, one of the more useful gifts that came along with the set (the other two are measuring tape and a diet plate) is this blender bottle with this patented blender ball. To prepare my trimshake, I'll just pour my cold milk up to the recommended 300ml mark, pour in my sachet, throw in the blender ball, twist up and shake away. It'll get the mixture mixed up pretty well. A good tool for me to prepare my shake while outside.

Alright, so for my progress update. I have to say there's basically nothing yet, apart from the fact that I'm taking in a surplus of vitamin B from the multi-vitamin and it's giving me highlighter yellow pee. But that's nothing to be worried about. It'll be fine as long as I drink more water (which I'm not).
And as for whether this tracker shall be a weekly update or bi-weekly update, I'm still deciding on it. Bi-weekly, perhaps? :)

Note: Updates on my final thoughts on this product HERE. Very important for you to read this if you're currently considering to purchase this product!
If you wish to just go ahead with the purchase without finding out more, I suggest you get it directly online via amazon.com instead of contacting a distributor and risk getting prospected as their downlines.
Good Luck.

Moreover, I've also successfully dropped 3.4kg following a Weed-Seed-Feed detox diet that doesn't come with any hefty price tag. Read my post on that HERE.

Till then,
Mia
