Mia's Tracker: Nu Skin's AgeLoc TR90

Yes, I've decided to do a series of periodic tracking post on my progress (hopefully) on AgeLoc TR 90. For those who have no idea what's TR 90 about, you can read them up HERE. Basically, it's a newer, better version of their previous weight management programme called TRA. 

Frankly speaking, the pricey-ness of this programme aside, I was also horribly put off by the amount of pills I have to pop on a daily basis. There are 16 of them! T.T 
But I totally jaw-dropped when my cousin (who sold the set to me after buying 3 at one go) told me she's still popping 29 pills daily with her TRA. 29 versus 16? I've no problems with my mathematics. 

So here's the load she hauled over to my workplace earlier this week. 
First up, is 15 days work of TR 90 Jumpstart, which is literally to jumpstart the entire programme. I dissolve it in 2 ounces of water and drink it in the morning on an empty stomach, along with the 4 pills I'm supposed to take 20 minutes before my breakfast. Taste wise, it's pretty funky albeit faint and diluted. I'll strongly recommend dissolving it in just the bare minimum amount of plain water (which is 2 ounces) and drinking it one shot. Don't think of adding it into your morning milk, milo or coffee. Don't ever think of trying that.

Then, there's TR 90 Complex and TR 90 Control. Both to be taken as 2 capsules twice daily, 15 to 20 minutes before meals. 

And then there's LifePak, which is just some multi-vitamins to ensure that we still get all the vitamins we need even on a controlled diet, with 4 pills to be taken twice daily.

 Trimshake in Chocolate Flavour, 1 packet to be taken in place of carbohydrates and protein for dinner daily. The diet of TR 90 is very simple. It's basically to cut down (but not remove completely) on carbohydrates and protein (meat etc), and eat more of vegetable and fruits. On top of it, to replace the carbs and protein with the replacement shake for every dinner. Yup, that's it. To be honest, I'm already on a no carbs dinner for quite a while (but of course my lunch are always super high carbs to make up for the 'lost') so the dinner diet is really no biggie for me. Just that after having the shake, I'm actually too full for my veggies and fruits. 
However, breakfast and lunch wise is a chore to follow. So up till now (it's been 5 days?) I've yet to follow the 'correct' TR 90 diet plan for my breakfast and lunch. :p 
Oh well, I shall work harder on that. But it's really hard given my working condition.... I'm keeping my finger cross that I'll still get results. 

 And lastly, one of the more useful gifts that came along with the set (the other two are measuring tape and a diet plate) is this blender bottle with this patented blender ball. To prepare my trimshake, I'll just pour my cold milk up to the recommended 300ml mark, pour in my sachet, throw in the blender ball, twist up and shake away. It'll get the mixture mixed up pretty well. A good tool for me to prepare my shake while outside. 

Alright, so for my progress update. I have to say there's basically nothing yet, apart from the fact that I'm taking in a surplus of vitamin B from the multi-vitamin and it's giving me highlighter yellow pee. But that's nothing to be worried about. It'll be fine as long as I drink more water (which I'm not).
And as for whether this tracker shall be a weekly update or bi-weekly update, I'm still deciding on it. Bi-weekly, perhaps? :)

    4. Hi Jing, you can't take 2 mths of TR 90. it has to be in sets of 3 months (as said by distributors). the remaining 2 mths supply will be without the 15 days jumpstart so you can't even complain to anyone if this doesnt work for you.

  2. maybe you should try herbalife perhaps? yeah im not gonna lie ive became a distributor but it does really works, tastes great and theres many flavors... etc... im not trying to sell it to you or something like that, im still like 33 pounds over my recommenden weight but ive already lost about 20 pounds, i have pictures, we can skype or whatever to show you proof, i dont just wanna show you some internet pictures or stuff like that, i have no problems on showing you who i am, my name is Jose btw. :)
    p.s. this is not magic like many other products promise, or some sellers missinform people. it does require your willing to do so (lose weight) and some perseverance, you will be able to see results in as quick as 8 days, BUT dont expect to drop 20 pounds in a week.

  5. I'm nearly on day 60 and I've actually gained about 7 pounds and 2% body fat. I am going to go ahead and say this stuff is snake oil. Very, very expensive snake oil. If you want to lose weight, nothing beats diet and exercise. Hydroxicut is actually a great product. It makes you feel kind of bad but for a jump start in weight management, I've had great success with it.

  7. Yes, but later on when I started complaining it doesn't work. Other distributors started contacting me and refuting what the first distributor has told me, saying its not working because I'm not eating enough.... It's funny how these people are flipping their words like roti prata to make it seems like the product failure is always due to the user.

  10. Mia, I'm a distributor and I have real results of family members who were overweight. My husband and my son (who's getting married in September) and his fiancee all went on the program. We monitor and measure weekly using a full body scale and measuring tape and we track daily meals to see if the simple rules for eating healthier are followed. The results will show - for example when they are not eating enough protein, muscle mass will go down. We also take weekly photographs because a picture tells a thousand words.

    The results?
    2 months later my husband has lost 5 kg in weight (83.7 kg to 78.2 kg) of which 2.76 kg was body fat and 3.9kg was visceral fat. He also gained 0.29 kg of skeletal muscle. Actually i have purchased both tra and tr90 and now i have left with tr complex 8 bottles, age loc control, 2 bottles duolean, 4 bottlea diene o leen and 4 months stock for trim sake, it been a year that i've stopped so how to continue it again as i forgot all the steps and portion already, tq.

  12. 2.5 yr ago i started TRA, and now I just started ageloc R2 1 week ago... i do have confidenc on nuskin product. Now i have gained back the weight and the consultant encouraged me to try TR90. I refused reason i that i cannot control my diet, i am not the person with strong determination. I tried to control my diet for 1 year after completing TRA and then i gave in to my greed on food...

    i have record the ageloc R2 progress on my blog, for 1 week i can't see the difference yet... hope i can provide some positive review later...

    5. I joined this contest at 22 July. I need to control my diet and exercise a lot, other wise I can't see the result. Yesterday the distributor came to follow up with me and found that I have lost 2.53kg fat. But he said that the contest was closed and I can't win the extra full set TR90. Very disappointed and feel cheated.

  15. Hi, i am about to purchase the tr90 after it release to market this month. I have heard many negative feedback regarding the weight loss. And i noticed the failure all share the same problem that none of you guys do exercise during the 3 month period. my friends who took tr90 and successfully lost 5kg --- yeah, very cheerful! She run 30 min twice per week, and walk 1 hr every other days. Seems pretty easy and i am going to give a try. good luck every one!

  19. Frankly no supplement in this world can helps if one continue to eat e.g. KFC
    chicken and fatty stuff, didn't watch your diets and exercise/work-out.

    In order to lose weight/fats, you MUST watch/calculate your calories intake
    and BURN more than your intake in order to lose it. Cos' if burn same intake,
    you are ONLY maintain current weight, if more calories intake than can burn
    .... you grow fatter.

    Do cardio workout/Aerobic exercise (check your heart condition first), sweat it
    out....

    NuSkin is a MLM Co. I can persuade 1,000 to buy and most lightly only 100
    will able to lose weight then I WILL keep highlighting this 100 persons on how
    good is this product....... taking before/after photos, give testimony etc etc.

    with "6 packs", are with hard work/physical exercise! (how's in the hell with
    only pills and no exercise).

    There are two effective ways to lose weight -- either reduce energy intake by
    eating fewer calories, or increase energy output through movement and
    exercise.

    Many of us now spend so much time sitting in one place without moving: In
    front of the computer, watching TV for hours, reading a book, etc.

    Walk at least a half hour a day or do another form of exercise that you
    enjoy. Find activities, sports, games, dances, housework, gardening, or any
    kind of movement that you enjoy doing.

    Thirty minutes of activityexercise a day is a good amount to aim for.

  25. I have tried many kind of diet... but I gain more. This TR90... I almost give up ... I just try 10 days... body weight... don't expect to loose much but the most important is body fat and visceral fat. just be patient and never give up you won't regret you have this TR90.

  26. Somebody just tried to sell me this stuff. I already run 8k 3-4 times a week, do not take breakfast and eat a small dinner, still I cannot drop my weight at all. Can they guarantee I will lose weight with this product? And they tell me my body fat is 6kg more! Fortunately, I am too smart to be fooled by a MLM company.

    1. It looks like skipping meals and eating very little is what is preventing you from loosing weight. Under a certain level of caloric intake your body will be alerted to store energy (in the form of fat) since it gets the signal that you don't have enough to eat and must store to survive those "days of hardship". Eat three well balance meals a day and keep up with the exercise! That should be a great start to your weight loss! Cheers!

      I am on Day 3 of the Tr90 program, trying to shed body fat. No one knows for sure if it works or not, BUT because I spent a lot of money on it, I got the motivation to put in the effort and start exercising and eating well. I however chose to follow the Atlantic version of the recommended eating plan, which is Trimshake and low sugar fruits for both lunch and dinner, a complete low fat low sugar meal for dinner, and snacks 2 hours after each meal (think an apple and nuts, low fat yogurt, carrot & hummus, etc...)

  30. Im on my second month and i lost 9KG. from 83.9 to 74.8KG. One more month to go. I followed the 30-30-30 plan. 30 grams of protein and exercise for 30 minutes daily. Not bad. :)

  32. if you want to lose weight, try Food Combining method. I myself have tried and succeeded. Not only you lose weight but healthier also. The basics of food combining is:
    1. Lemon + lukewarm water first time in the morning (just when you wake up) with empty stomach (you can google it for the benefit)
    2. Only eat fruit (any kind of fruit) at Breakfast time until lunch time
    3. Combine Carb & Veggie or Protein & Veggie for Lunch & Dinner.
    4. Minimize Coffee & Tea as those drink hidrate you.
    5. Drink up lots of water

    If you consistent & committed, you will see the result in 2 weeks. Just try!

  35. Well it work for me for the first 15 days. Friends has pesture me to try out this product like for 1 year now. Then it came the TR90 which is more costly then initial plan. I decided to take it since im facing some health issues and what to cut back on my blood pressure. My other options are HCG but involves alot of injections which i really hate. I stay with 800 calories limit, and cut down on sugar ALOT. i mean everything was like kosong. Kopi ais kosong, limau ais kosong. No fatty food, alot of vegie, lean meat and fruits. I lost 5 kilos on first 8 days. Was really delighted. But then my weight was maintaining at 75kg for 6 days now. I am still on control carbs like wholemeal bread or half a bowl of rice. I really hate the trimshake as its too gluey for my liking, but hey a bit of diet and lost 5kg in 8 days.

  36. TR90 works, what's lacking to others why they say its not working is the support and coaching from the one who sold you the package.

    Im a distributor as well. i also used the product so that I can experience it as well and be able to give support and coach people trying the product. you don't just sell TR90 to people and just leave them once they've bought the product. the distributor should help guide the person :)

    all of my friends who did TR90 are all happy with the results they got. I for one lost 12kg in 90 days :)

    Im a distributor as well. i also used the product so that I can experience it as well and be able to give support and coach people trying the product. you don't just sell TR90 to people and just leave them once they've bought the product. the distributor should help guide the person :)

    all of my friends who did TR90 are all happy with the results they got. I for one lost 12kg in 90 days :)

    1. wow, I'm appalled he is hard selling a nursing mother. you need to eat Ricky, eat good, and eat enough to nurse your baby. now can you be popping pills and replacing proper meals with meal replacements?

    2. TR90 is not recommended to pregnant and lactating women. You can consult the Nu Skin product specialists if you are unsure of anything regarding the usage. P.S. I do agree that many people have been over-claiming and giving misleading info.

    3. My cousin brought the whole thing to the doctor and ask if it was okay. The doctor said can. She finished the program, lost 14kg while breastfeeding last year and still breastfeeding now. Her daughter is the most energetic out of her kids.

If you haven't, I suggest you get one done at a local gym or even at any healthcare providers (i.e. hospitals or some clinics may have). I understand your concerns and a weight loss decision can be frustrating, especially when we do not get any support that we need. Find me on Facebook, maybe we can have a chat.

Believe on this program,there's 1 case in my group whose tr90 consumer,her result started drop after 6months..i can say that during this program,natural protein food and exercise very important, and 1 of my friend 24 years old who have high blood pressure,tr90 solved his angina problem in day5 which been suffered him for 2 years..

  46. I am the type of person who couldn't resist delicious food. Easily distracted by imagination of food. The way I overcome it was to take picture of my shit after eating delicious food, staring at the picture 4-5 times and try to put awareness that whenever I eat delicious food it will end up adding waste to my body. After 21 days of doing it I slowly have less and less craving and start to loss weight.

  48. unfortunately it doesn't work the way its marketed. you need to change overnight your diet habits and exercise regularly just to lose the weight. the good thing if your wanting to lose weight the diet and the exercise will lose weight. some of the pills like "control" doesn't work. actually after exercising you feel more hungry and the control pill doesn't make you full. however taking "complex" and the lifepak is worthwhile. its vitamins and minerals your body needs on a daily basis. the trimshake is nonsense. it has carbs and sugar in it. the diet plan they give you is not sustainable. basically you have to go really low carb and cut any sugar food. additionally you have to exercise at least 3 times or more a week to get the results you want. the money you spend on tr90 can get you a personal trainer and maybe a dietician meal plan. just my thoughts.

  49. ive lost 45kg in 8 months (10kg for the first week), i was 134kg, 89kg last month and now still 89. No pills, just control my diet for the first 2 months, the rest is control diet + exercise. There is no easier way, u have to be determined.

    4. a lot of people don't understand how TR90 helps to lose weight.
      It actually helps to lose fat NOT weight on the same time increasing your muscle mass.

      losing weight is not the right way in weight management program. if you lose weight, yes you are losing fat but it either maintain your muscle or reducing your muscle mass.
      In TR90 weight management program actully is very good diet program. It teaches you how to eat the right way, your active lifestyle and how the supplements help you in this 3 months.

    I've been told by my doc to loose atleast 12kg and am finding it impossible
    I have knee problems and I have managed to find a good physical trainer who can help me exercise well and good
    I go to the gym 3 times a week, it's doing good to my body gradually including my knees too...
    Now I have been recommended this tr90 by the trainer
    He says I can loose weight and body fat too
    My eating habits are not bad... Am on a very good diet yet I don't seem to bring down the scales
    Am not a food person so it's easy to control my intake
    Would u still advice me to take this tr90

      if it's easy for you to restrict your diet, then i say for for it, if you still have a lot of money to spare. when you say you have good eating habits and is on a good diet, what kind of diet are you on and what's your daily calorie intake?

      i omit ALL added sugar, refined carbs and limit processed food in my diet for 3 weeks (without TR90) and lost 3.7kg.

    Simple things like I don't like white bread , for years I take my coffee without sugar and milk , in fact am not really a dessert person... Omit sugar as much as I can, and I don't even buy white sugar for the family even
    I've had a knee injury and exercising was limited for a few years , that's where I put on weight with metabolism going slow over the years
    Uni L I was told seriously by my doctors to loose weight else I need to go for knee replacement
    So past 3 months I am on personal training and I put in my own efforts to do a little bit extra than usual
    Since am seriously into gyming I get back and start on a healthy schedule of diet
    To start with breakfast 3 egg whites cooked in non stick pan, one slice of whole meal bread with half tablespoon of peanut butter , half grapefruit ( something like that on daily basis) , mid morning I will have one small guava or protein shake , ( without sugar)
    Lunch 1 slice of tengirri or breast of chicken , place in a non stick pan without oil and cook in its own juices , when half done I add salt and some Veges chopped, place it in the fish and cover and cook on. Very low fire for two minutes
    My meal done
    At times I cannot finish this meal at one go so I keep aside for the evening
    I snack on oat biscuits at times not daily basis when I feel very hungry with a cup of coffee

    This is a rough scetch of my meals
    Like I said am not a food person and don't have cravings for any kind of food
    In fact after I've got used to this kind of eating I don't really relish meals in restaurants but of course I have no choice when it's a family or friends outing

    Now I ll tell you where my weakness lies
    Sometimes am really lazy to cook for myself and that's where I will replace my meals for coffee or for snacks like oats biscuits etc but of course I can't do that very often as I am gyming for almost 2 hours and need to eat properly but yes I used to do that very often earlier

    My question is will the tr90 benefit as my trainer claims
    He says I will surely loose weight ... Which I need to badly
    Am 71.5 now , three months back I was 74
    I need to come down to atleast 65 to feel good about myself and to get back in my lovely clothes which I refuse to throw away ;)

    1. so effectively you only eat 2 meals a day? well, i can't really gauge your portions, but i eat 3 meals a day and when TR90 didn't give me results, some distributors told me it's because i'm not eating enough. you eat only egg whites, no yolk and you do not use oil at all for cooking your protein. that's not really a healthy diet as your diet is lacking in good fats. you need to eat fats in order to burn fats. that's what I've gathered from reading countless health and fitness articles. I'm currently drafting a post on my latest diet plan (hopefully it can be live tonight). hope to see you there. :)

    Yes I omit fats as much as possible but I take fish oil one capsule a day as supplement and of course there wud be natural fats in fish and chicken that I cook

  72. Hi all. A little intro off myself. I am Just a humble distributor of nuskin from Malaysia and im very disappointed to see some of the comments about how TR90 doesnt work for u all. Disappointed not in the user but in other factors that gave such results.

    As for myself i am sorta in ur shoes and skeptical about any weight loss program or product out there. When i started TR90 as a gift from my gf, i didnt see much results for the 1st month at all. My gf was furious about it as well so we started to question our upline. 5k ringgit is not a small ammount for us. I didnt loose weight, i tried my best at wht the upline told me.

    My upline actually took measurements for me every 2 weeks with omron karada scale to measure my body composition which consist of

    -weight
    -fat%
    -skeletal muscle%
    -bmi
    -bmr (resting metabolism)
    -body age
    -viseral fat

    Slowly he monitored and advice on my eating plan. And due to the nature of my work, im always subjected to high level of stress which contributes to fat retaining in our body. Slowly with more explanation i started to see where this is going.

    3 months passed and constant monitoring by my upline has paid off as i started to loose fat % and gain skeletal muscle. Just a bit of result. Im happy about it.

    The good thing about this program is that the effect lasts as long as u can maintain the life style even if u fiNished the whole 3 month course. Ive lost more fat % and gaining more muscles by the month. Slowly but steadily. No im proud to open up my chest and walk with confidence. Ive been to weddings and everyone thought i look great and well toned up. A fren even asked me if i took drugs cos i slim down so much and another fren corrected him by saying that i didnt even look like i slim down from taking drugs.

    Im already 1 year over the program and all my customers who bought the tr90 from me has good results. Some even have lost about 250g of fat in the 1st week of jumpstart and regular exercise. 250g of fat is a block of butter for goodness sakes!

    Well of all that. Conclusion is that TR90 is not a miracle product. Its an educational transformation program and requires couching,monitoring, follow up by the person who sold it to u.

      I've lost about 7kg just by changing my diet alone and a check on the scale at my gym shows me that it's almost entirely fat loss. I'm now at 19% PBF and a BMR of 1432 (i've increased my BMR at about 100+ to 200). And I did all these WITHOUT any weight management supplement program!

  74. Metabolic syndrome is the leading cause for obesity, I am not sure about TR90 but when buying into fat loss programs the most important thing to note is this:

    i) Are they asking you to replace your meals entirely to puree or meal replacement drinks?

    ii) Are the supplements safe? Endorsed by third party? Has it been clinically tested and the clinical research papers are readily available online? FDA doesn't govern supplements, so therefore, there will be no FDA approval for supplements.

    iii) What is the guarantee? Can they prove the results using medical report analysis and not just the weighing scale or karada scan feel good factor?

    iv) Is it looking at inches measurement or purely reliant on weighing scale?

    v) What kind of meal changes is required?

    vi) What kind of lifestyle changes is required?

    vii) GuaranteedSustainable weight loss with no rebound?

    viii) Can resolve underlying metabolic issues such as cholesterol issues, insulin resistance, diabetes etc?

    ix) Easy to consume with minimal effort? At most only 1 to 2 items required prior to each meal and reasonably priced?


    Admittedly, currently I am getting myself certified to be a metabolic wellness coach; thus I can share more info on prevention (and in certain cases reversal) of metabolic syndrome such as diabetes, cholesterol, heart disease, insulin resistance and Poly Cystic Ovary Syndrome) through natural supplementation, while doing minor sustainable adjustments to our lifestyle.

  75. I hate my consultant how he blames me for not eating properly and NON of his clients had NO results. Serious BS. Im so pissed off and sick of their BS!!! If i dont eat and exercise i can lose weight too! Honestly I paid freaking 2 THOUSAND for easy way out, listen to me guys, pay this 2000 to fitness first u get better results. I say my consultant is Full of s*** because when i bought he told me OH THE AMAZING THING ABT THIS PRODUCT IS YOU DONT HAVE TO DO EXERCISE, CARDIO IS NOT RECOMMENDED, JUST DO SOME WALKING.
    Now almost 3months, my results are not significant, overall loss of 2% fats which is PATHETIC FOR TWO THOUSAND BUCKS. I attribute the fat loss to my gym sessions with my trainer. Guess what the consultant said???
    YOU ARE NOT SUPPOSED TO DO WEIGHT TRAINING, YOU MUST DO CARDIO.
    WHAT HAPPENED TO NO CARDIO HE FIRST TOLD ME?!

Most weight loss products don't work because they do not tackle the underlying issue on metabolism; in fact, the focus is so much on weight loss that some totally wrecks havoc in your body while making you lose weight. Once you achieve your weight loss goals, you will be worst off than you actually were. If the metabolic health is taken care first, weight loss and other health benefits such as controlled blood sugar and cholesterol.

    1. because obviously your "proper dieting" before TR90 has changed. :)
      TR90 requires you to swap a meal with meal replacement, which can cut out a substantial amt of calories.

  81. U shouldnt take TR90 if u wish to slim down..never! And never! the cost is too expensive! Although u can afford it.. instead u should go on a diet program (less carbs,more protein, more vegie), drink lot of plain water and do regular physical exercise.. TR90 is only wasting ur money.. this is thru experience.. believe me.. u still can slim down without any product.. TR90 vendor said to me: "your weight will never bounce back after using the prduct for 90days"..it's ridiculous! Nothing on earth can give u that! i realize that the product doesnt give any effect on weight management.. maybe yes..but too little.. the real effect is coming from what type of food did u consume and physical activities u have carried out.. believe me..if u really discipline enough.. u can lose 10kg+ in 90days WITHOUT TR90!

  82. Agreed. If someone is discipline enough to eat the right diets ( low carb low fat low sugar high protein high fibre) and moderate exercise in 90 days. The thing about most of the TR90 consultants, when they want to get someone engaged, they will just tell you how woderful the product is, kind of to have S size body after the program for L size ppl. When you do not have the desired results, they will tell you that you are not just following strict diet as mentioned by them.

    If someone weigh 55kg, lost 0.5kg, fat reduced by 0.5% and muscles increased by 0.1%, they will clap their hands and congratulate on you on your 90 days effort. TR90 is wonderful. But for Rm4955, is that the results someone wants for? When you ask them, they will blah blah blah you look nice, energetic blah blah to console you.

I was trying to see how to make my trimshake more delicious and I chanced upon this blog. i have been on it for 25 days and i have lost 2kg and shed few cm. my consultant monitors and measure me closely to see if I made improvement n advice me promptly. In fact for first week I already lost 1kg. very unbelievable. I think it is important to get a consultant that monitor u and know how to adjust for u. whoever sell to u should provide that service if that distributor is professional. Frankly initially I also just try and see how. but I m happy with the results so far. it may be expensive but u can always pay via installment. contact me if u need more advice and know my progress. fyi, I didn't do exercise.
