AgeLoc TR90: IT DOES NOT WORK AS WELL AS IT CLAIMS

Yes, 3 months is not up yet, but I've given up on TR 90. And if my title is not blatant enough, I shall repeat myself. 
AgeLoc TR 90 does not work. 

Before I get to my own opinions, let's share a few comments I've gotten along the way.


And the same goes for TRA (TR90's predecessor) 
 one after another, 'no results' 'no results' 'no results'

and finally, one that claims to have lost substantial weight via TRA, who didn't sound as much as a hardcore distributer....
 
Basically she just slapped it on me (or us) that it's really all about controlling food intake.

And tell me, do you need to spend 1.8 to 2.5k to learn discipline? Chances are, like me, if you cannot be on a strict diet, no matter how many grands you throw in, you will not be able to stick to it. 
Say, even if you did manage to stick strictly to the 3333 diet with shakes for that 3 months, can you stick to it forever? 
No snacking, no chocolates, no ice creams, no sweet treats, no fried food, no fast food, more veggies, less meat, less carbs.... FOREVER
Or do you believe that this brilliant (-ly expensive) product will really confirm you no rebound regardless of what diet you revert to after the 3 months? 

I know I'll probably get bombarded by their distributors for coming up with this post. But I really hope that those ladies (and gentlemen) out there who are currently being prospected by these distributors can really think it through and make a wise decision. 
If it's not for my cousin, I would have used the money on a gym membership instead. 
The golden rule of weight management is always to exercise more and eat in moderation. And in my own humble opinion, this set of products that cost you as much as an annual gym membership is lacking in every single way to be comparable to the latter. 

If, in spite of all these true stories on how this product will not work as well as those distributors claimed, and you'll still wish to spend the money to try it out for yourself, I highly recommend that you buy them through amazon.com to avoid getting prospected by unscrupulous distributors instead.

  1. oh I haven’t hear of this program before ... and it seems quite expensive as well, the key for weight loss success is really exercising more and eating healthier... ant that is really hard... calorie counting really works... you need to be 500 calories deficit every week and slowly slowly the weight will come off :) patience it’s important.

  5. hi there! maybe you should try a different approach for weight management? try other fun physical activities like jogging, walking or swimming. i think the key is enjoying what you're doing. before you know it, you'll be rocking the body you've always wanted ^_^

  6. That's too bad! Losing weight is really all about portion control and being more active... even though you cut calories in the short term, it's not that big of a deal because you will eventually get to your goal weight and resume eating the amount of calories you need to manage your weight. :)

  9. I have albs to lose (fats accumulated after giving birth LOL) and I'm still struggling to lose this pounds because I'm not motivated enough and exercise is not my forte. And I think you are right, these weight loss program only works effectively when you put more effort on everything and balance things out, not just one thing.

  27. Well, it works for thousands of people around the world and it doesn't work for you? You might gone it with the wrong way. The supplement is the great kickstart for weight loss and you gotta keep the momentum all the way.

    The golden key question is how long will you take reach the result you want? 3 months? 3 years? There are hundreds and thousands ways to weight loss but which one is safe, fast and effective? Up to you to choose. I choose TR90. Why? It reset my gene expression that cause me to get overweight easily. It also kickstart my weight loss regime more effectively.

U should start off by getting yourself a college cert and proceed to university before mouthing off over here. Only way to be fit and slim is exercise and proper diet.   28. I have been on TR90 for 30 days since May 2014 and I have lost 7kg and 9.5cm off my abdomen. It works really well for me but I have also changed my lifestyle entirely: workout 1 hour a day, eat healthy and sleep early. I have one cheat day per week that I snack a small portion of junk food such as ice cream or cake. I see TR90 as a contrived motivation to change my lifestyle, the faster result helps me to sustain the motivation. A diet is called a diet because it is supposed to be for short term, not long term. The key point is to cut down on carbs, eat more veggies and exercise. There is no other shortcut, TR 90 is just a "push" to help a person desired to do that to be successful.

    2. Yes, you'll see results, duh. But what TR90 does is it compresses your 2-year's worth of efforts into just 3 months. It means that if you do proper diet & exercise for 2 years and get amazing results, you'll get the same amazing results if you do it with TR90 in just 3 months.

      It probably didn't work for you because you didn't understand the program and didn't follow it properly. They're NOT MAGIC PILLS. If you followed the program PROPERLY and did it for NINETY (90) DAYS, I guarantee that you'd have gotten amazing results.

      It comes with a money back guarantee anyway, so I assume if you followed the programme, you've applied to get your money back?? If not, then yes it was a waste of money, but you can't blame the product if you can't commit to the programme. That's the same for any weight loss programme.

      This is a weight management programme, it's not about losing weight, it's about losing fat whilst maintaining your lean muscles, which is lost when using traditional weight loss programmes. As we know muscle is heavier than fat, so my advice it to take body measurements and not bother with the scales.

    4. To set things right, tr90 does not come with money back guarantee! Took false info given to me here for real and demanded money back from my distributor, only to be told its only for other products lie lifepak.

  30. Yes, with proper diet (balanced diet) and exercise, there will be improvements in fat and weight loss. The difference is that without TR90, it will take a relatively longer time to see the significant results. If you mix proper diet and exercise with TR90, the results are just significantly faster. If you followed the program properly (proper diet, more active lifestyle, NINETY DAYS), and it still did not work, then that's when you'll have the right to say your negative opinion. Based on what I read, YOU have the problem since you DID NOT understand the program properly and therefore DID NOT follow it.

    1. Yes, blame all you want. I already see this coming from distributors as my post is a direct hit to their business, plus this post is one of my highest read and I'm still receiving emails till date, mainly asking for advice if they should spend money on this product.
      For the record, I've been following the distributor's advice and my lifestyle has always been active. But after my complaints that there's no results at all, not to say comparable to those miraculous results boasted by distributors, she blamed me for not eating enough. Needless to say, I put on weight for believing her words. And believe me, I'm not the only victim with the exact same experience but at least I'm not as unlucky to be persuaded to take up another 3 months course, only to see no result again.

    4. I also found that TR90 kicked start my diet easily. I was a person who lost motivation fast, so normal diet won't last long. TR90 changed the way I eat, live and exercise. So it's not about popping lots of pills and eat only healthy stuffs, but change the fundamental habit that make exercise daily and eating healthy food (with occasional treats) a norm and enjoyable.

      MollyMia, I also think you need so finish it since you are already spend money on it.

  31. Neither TRA nor TR90 works for me.

    In 2011, I were very discipline and started exercising (i.e. inline skating) in the morning. And went from 67kg to 56.7kg at the end of 2011.

    I started gaining weight in 2012 when I couldn't exercise due to several bad falls. That April I decided to give TRA a try; was 60.9kg then. My weight didn't drop and had serious constipation problem. My doctor told me it might be due to meal replacement & supplement I were taking which he asked me to reduce the frequency. (Didn't tell him I were on TRA.)

    My eating habit is pretty much the same all these years; healthy eating. Of course, I do induce unhealthy eating occasionally.

    Early this year I decided to give TR90 a try after seeing 2 colleagues of mine have good result. They just changed their eating habits with no exercise.

    I thought I just had to endure not having any junk food for 3 months and I would see the good result on me. Too bad, it didn't.

    Conclusion is any weight loss program (be it exercising or products) doesn't apply to all.

    I'll be trying acupuncture for slimming soon. Hope it will work for me. Wish me luck.

    1. I tried acupuncture slimming and it worked for me! But the needle pain is pretty unbearable and now after 20 sessions I feel that I might be developing a phobia towards needles. Has stopped going for more than a month and I feel myself bloating up again, despite hitting the gym 3x a week. :(

    2. Hi Molly, you may like to try cupping (拔罐). It's not not painful thou it will leave marks on your body. I'm amazed by the 1st session of cupping.

      I started cupping + slim body wrap + negative ion treatment at Han Dian TCM @ People's Park Centre (known this thru another blogger, mitsueki).

      The cupping treatment has to be done in continuous 3 days. My weight is lessened by 1.8kg after the 1st session (taken on 2nd day before treatment). Yes, it may be water loss as many may say. But hey, it's a big achievement for me since I'm one of those gals who easily bloated and have serious constipation. Also, I wouldn't see such result with my usual exercising and dieting.

Through a combination of dietary modification (less carbohydrates, no saturated fats, no added sugar, more vegetables, lean meat) and daily brisk walking (started out at 30 minutes a day, now 60 minutes a day) I have lost 14kgs (30lb).   34. Hi I currently taking that pill and I am almost done with it. On my first bottle it shows big change like around 10 pounds because I been hitting the gym too. And after that I was so busy I didn't go to the gym at all and i still takes my pill regularly and my shake and nothing appeal. Instead I gain 10 pounds back.

  35. This thread is rubbish. This blogger calls tr90 a non effective program but also blogs on cookie recipes and has an icon with a cookie shoved in her mouth. Hmm. Really?

    This program works. I've lost about 20 kg of weight overall. My visceral fat has dropped from extremely dangerous to normal. I have increased my lean muscle and lost fats. I'm now a size small down from XL. Improvements all across the board and I'm 50 years old and not a gym member!

    I'm not a disciplined person but I did follow the program. I'm made no changes to my normal workout habits. I learned how to eat better and more healthy. I added TR90 and it made a huge difference. Before TR90 I was gaining unhealthy weight. Now 9 mos later I'm even leaner.

    I challenge these people who complain about no results and ask if they followed the proper diet. I highly doubt it. This program requires the person to follow and the person that recomended it to help them stay on course.

    This program is not a silver bullet. You can't eat cookies and cake and take a pill and expect to look like a super model. And those that take hydroxiecut and other chemicals, oh boy. I'd take tr90 which is natural ingredients over chemicals any day.

      To clarify the 16 pills...
      The tr90 program is not 16 pills. Depending on the country, it's either 8 or 7. She is most likely counting an additional supplement which adds 8 more, LifePak. In her region the tr90 ships with this additional multivitamin and antioxidant addon.

      The program is designed around the 7-8 pills, 15 days of jumpstart and daily 1-2x shakes (depending on country). Some countries offer bars instead of shakes.

    5. It changes gene expression to make u healthy. Didn't u read the label. Why do u need to look after your diet. If this thing can increase your metabolism, why worry about your intake? Given that Most people who bought this Programme have reached a certain stable critical mass based on their dietary habits (that means their weight will fluctuate around a certain constant measurement) - taking tr90 should actually bring some weight loss to the equation without the help of reducing calories intake. If it doesn't... it doesn't. Please don't talk about not following regime or whatever.

You can't control your diet and you are expecting to lose weight miraculously with some meal replacement shakes and a whole lot of supplements WITHOUT controlling your food intake? you're probably better off taking steroids if you ask me. Everything requires control. If you can't do that then don't bother doing the TR90. PS : Not a TR90 user but i have seen most of my friends transform tremendously with that product.

    1. for the record, i do not eat excessively. my normal calorie intake a day hovers around 1200kcals. THEN, the distributor started saying i can't lose weight because i'm not eating enough, yada yada. yeah, bullshit, i know.
      anyway, the main point of my post here (which many has problem grasping) is that it's so much healthier and sensible to go exercise AND control your food intake instead of POPPING PILLS and controlling food intake.
      spending SGD $2k on this is not worth it. take that money and get a gym membership instead.

  38. Some people just have to spend $2k to force themselves to take control of their unhealthy lifestyle. I think this whole TR90 thing works like the placebo effects?

    I read through your past entries from when you started the program, the ingredients for the shake is similar to Whey Protein shake sold by fitness companies like Optimum Nutrition (can get from GNC or cheaper on i-herb)

    Also, multi-vitamins are meant to be smelly :D I hate them too cause they stink so bad but they are very complimenting if you have an active lifestyle and moderate diet.

    Anybody can lose weight and gain lean muscles when you follow whatever 'diet guideline' they provide and start getting their asses off the chair and move around more.

    I just think the supplements they give in the pack, you can just get them off i-herb yourself.

    But still, some people would prefer to burn $2000 to force them on a right track.

      The idea here is not to refrain completely on these food but at certain times when ones feel like eating just go ahead.

    3. True you can exercise diet and loose weight but what you can't do is keep from loosing muscle also. It all goes down. Muscle is your engine to burn excess calories. Loosing the engine is what helps accelerate the rebound effects that many see after dieting.

      With this program, muscle is maintained and increased at the expense of fat. This is why even people that body build are starting to use. You won't see a typical body builder walking around town at 8-10% body fat but there are more and more TR90 people walking around at these low percentages. Body builders normally will cut before competition to hit this low percentage.

    5. Body builders typically mass up then cut for competition. This is routine. When they cut they hit the crazy low body fat percentages but they don't walk around day in and day out at those percentages. I don't recall exactly where I got this info but It is most likely from Bill Pearl who was a 4 time Mr Universe professional body builder.

      In regards to what I was saying is trying to compare an across the board loss of everything in a competition cut verse a fat only cut. When body builders do their cuts they loose across the board but the beauty of the TR90 program is that it maintains the muscle so you target the fat. When used by those body building they are able to walk around leaner as a result. One of the first guys to do this was in Argentina. He did this thru TR90 and walked round at 8-9%. And there are several that have since followed him after discovering how effective the program is at blasting fat and keeping muscles.

      But the fact is the majority aren't gonna body build or go crazy lifting so why is any of this important? The reason is traditional diets loose across the board. You jump on the scale but you lost fat, muscle and water. With TR90 you don't loose the muscle. This is key because the muscle is your engine to metabolize. If you loose this you have less ability to burn what you eat. This is why many rebound on other diets.

    6. Another key point that TR90 is effective in dropping is the Visceral fat. This is the fat around your organs; the fat that puts you in the ground. The doctors can't suck it out, cut it out, staple or tuck it. I've measured some of the skinniest people that are active, look healthy on the outside but the have high Visceral fat. I call them skinny fat.

      Why is this?
      Poor eating, fatty foods, basic garbage in and it adds up. Traditional dieting keeps the subcutaneous fat off these skinny people so they look lean. But, I challenge anyone to tell me what machine or workout will excercise my heart or my liver enough to rid the fat that's surrounds these organs. These skinny fat people and often suffer from high cholesterol and other related issues. TR90 has helped many of them to get off their drugs for these conditions.

    7. erm, no. unless you're referring to some crazy freak diets, you don't lose significant amount of muscle mass. unless you're now hinting that with TR90, we HAVE to put ourselves on a crash diet for it to work and at the same time, eat the pills to prevent unwanted muscle lost?
      even by controlling our diet, as long as we eat enough protein, do resistance training, and eat good in general, we shouldn't be losing muscle mass. even if we did, it's minuscule.

      it seems to me that the more you explain on TR90, the more you're telling me that eating TR90 by itself is really just a quick fix to lose weight (or as claimed by distributors like yourself, fats). unless it someone who desperately needs to lose weight within a short period of time, say brides-to-be, there's really no need for us to spend the money on this product, don't you agree? everything TR90 (supposedly claims to) help us to achieve, anybody can do it with a sensible diet and active lifestyle. just that TR90 is supposed to speed it up. so when we have all the time in the world to slowly work towards a better physique, TR90 is redundant.

    8. Most people on diets loose all across the board. This is how it is. One of the things TR90 offers is the ability to maintain and increase muscle depending on how much activity you put forth. It's not hocus pocus, it's been clinically studied and proven thru science. The fact is most don't eat a perfect protein balanced diet and excercise with the idea of building lean muscles. Let's not divert from the general population here. Many aren't your body builders and don't want to hit a gym for 2-3 hours a day and eat pristine perfect meals to accomplish their goals. TR90 offers an easier way.       TR90 didn't work for me because i do not wish to follow a strict diet. or perhaps, i didn't have much to lose in the first place? which I doubt. the last time i measured at my gym, my fat % was 21+%.
      this is what i've been harping on. for those who simply needs to eat whatever they want to, do not think about trying out TR90 even if it's offered to you FOC. popping these pills without a controlled diet gets you nowhere. moreover, a healthy controlled diet without these $2000 pills can still get you somewhere.
      people, do your own maths here. :) do you really have that much to lose in the first place to justify this $2000?

    2. hi mia i 100% agree with you. the distributors are promoting it as some miracle weight loss product. but when i signed up found to be bs. found out i had to have a proper diet a mixture of protein, vegies and keep the carbs very low or cut. additionally need to exercise on a regular basis.

    3. i have no issue changing my diet and exercising regularly but paying 2k for that is a bit of a rip off. also you can tell who the sales people are. they can sell anything. i stuck to the program including their diet recomendations for 1 month and didn't lose any weight. in fact i put on. so i had to cut the carbs and cut the trim shake and included hiit training to lose 2kg's. when i finished the program i had lost 5kgs but that was from cutting carbs and doing more hiit training. i continued my training without the tr90 program and have lost 15kg's.

    I lost 20 kg on the program. I can't speak for how all distributors are representing the program but it does work when followed. Although the program is as stated above by the previous poster, this only scratches the surface as there are more things going on that will promote fat loss and muscle gain among other things.

    It's possible the flaw could have been in the way the program was described to you or partnered btwn you and the distributor. I normally follow my customers on their journey over the 90 days to help them to transition and to ensure they are following correctly. I can't tell you how many benefit greatly from this guidance to maximize their results. This program appears straight forward and will work as such but thru subtle tweets and adjustments, you can really maximize things. It really is a powerful solution.

    1. it's true that you can't speak for how all other distributors are representing the program. so you can't blame angry users for blaming the product when they weren't playing for what they intended to get. For those claiming TR90 works wonder, they all boast of amazing weight lost (10s, 20s kg) over just 3 mths. So it made me think, perhaps TR90 is ONLY for those who has ALOT to lose in the first place?
      Say one already has a healthy lifestyle in place and is in the hardest stage of weight loss where she's just another 3 to 5kg away from her target. Do you think popping these extra pills will work for her, then?
      Now comes the problem. ALL distributors will tell you yes, it will work and you'll not only lose that 3kg you plan to lose, but will lose MORE than that.
      the biggest turn off for mlm related products, is that distributors cannot tolerate the fact that their source of income (the products) is not meant for every single living person they see.

    regardless, tr90 has gone thru clinical studies and trials and is backed by research and science. These documents can be provided to you from the company on request.

    My comment was directed that with TR90 you don't need to have a perfect diet and hit the gym 2 hrs + a day. Obviously you can achieve an amazing body thru strict diet regiment and strict strength training but many are looking for an easier route. TR90 offers this routine and helps you to make life changing habits that will increase your health.

    It's apparent that you have had a negative experience and feel the product is the fault. Whether this be the case or that the program wasn't administered properly or wasn't described properly, I can't say. All I can say is that many find success they this program but they come to the program with a willingness to follow and apply direction given from their coach.

    Being 21% body fat is great but what is your visceral fat level and what is your overall health? These are the questions that come to my mind. We can only eat whatever we want for so long until we have to pay the piper. Any fitness person will agree and I don't know any program that magically removes the bad stuff you put in your body without any effort and with zero adverse effects to your body. So if your reasoning for this program to not be effective is because you wanted to eat mc Donald's, fried foods and donuts and TR90 didn't magically remove the fat off your body, then yes I guess it didn't live up to your expectations.

    TR90 is suited for people looking to make a change. They want their health back and their body back. They are willing to work with a guide to coach them thru the 90 days and are willing to make adjustments to their lifestyle. During this 90 days the program reshape a their body, new habits in eating and excercise are established. Health is transformed and they emerge successful. I'm sorry that this wasn't your experience but I have thousands of people who approached this as stated above and found success when their previous attempts at diet and excercise alone had failed them.

    Many have found the program a bargain considering the massive improvements they received with their health. You know sometimes it's too late to learn from the doctor that your health has failed or you just luckily woke up from a stroke in a hospital room and realize your hole life has changed suddenly.   44. ive lost 45kg in 8 months (10kg for the first week), i was 134kg, 89kg last month and now still 89. No pills, just control my diet for the first 2 months, the rest is control diet + exercise. There is no easier way, u have to be determined.

It jumpstarted his health journey and he's not on any maintenance meds, just supplements and the habits he formed while on TR90. Well worth the investment I guess.

  47. WEIGHT LOSS vs WEIGHT MANAGEMENT

    In anything we do, we must live intentionally, such is the advise of leadership expert John Maxwell. And when it comes to weight, we must be intentional. But first, why does a person want to lose weight?

    I believe weight loss should not focus on the actual weight (pounds/kilos) itself. Instead, one should understand that losing weight is about getting healthier, and not for anything else. I know there are many people desperate to lose weight for the looks (physical) and I believe that is for the wrong reason.

    Losing weight always begin with the mindset and a decision, and the will to stick to that decision. There are only three steps to losing weight once a person is committed.

    1. Lifestyle change (including food). Instead of eating unhealthy foods, one should now focus on eating low glycemic foods.

    2. Exercise. Moderate exercise only. Without exercise, the body does not lose the extra fats, and some enzymes beneficial to health are not optimally produced. HEAVY physical exercise is also to be avoided because in this case, the body needs more than average nutrients.

    3. As it is, the foods today lack nutrients the body needs. As a minimum, the use of supplementation is recommended, but be picky when it comes to brand. Gotta have science behind. Why supplementation? The foods today are not the same as the food from decades ago. With less nutrients and more toxins (including chemicals from foods and pollution, for example), the need to combat the toxins and free radicals becomes more important.

    Once you have all three of these locked down, expect to lose weight if that is what truly matters. A better way to look at it is to appreciate how healthier one could be.

    Im fat but I know very well that is all about food intake..80% of weight loss depend on food intake.
    if you are discipline, healthier food choices, portion control, increase water intake, cardio exercise+ weights to boost metabolism. Confirm 100% you will lose body fat%.
    *i have eaten very low carb, high protein diet with crossfit for 3 months, n loss weight..but its disicpline. If u dont maintain, surely it will return

    All these stuff are just money eating thing that basically does the same thing, giving u meal replacement which is decreasing ur caloric intake..

    Now show me a product where u eat normally as u usually do without doing exercise yet losing body fat % just like that.. Nope, no such thing.

  53. The trouble people have on typical weight loss programme is that they go hungry and eat less. Thus when they stop the programme, they will rebound. Its not about how much time you spend exercising or how much calories you put into your body. But how effective is the exercise and how nutritious is the food which you put into your mouth?

    I am no agent for TR90 or TRA90 or other Nuskin stuff or Herbalife stuff. If you can build your plate right, do proper simple exercises even at home for just 30 mins a day for 3 times a week. You'll see great results. The biggest issue with many of us who gain weight fast is that we have underlying insulin resistance issue which is related to metabolism. This can be corrected with right supplementation before it develops into diabetes or pre-diabetes. TRA90 and many other weight management programme is treating weight as the issue but the underlying culprit is insulin resistance. Once we reset our metabolic system and take care of our insulin resistance, our body will naturally burn fat and keep burning fat with or without overpriced weight loss programs.

    1. Your comments regarding insulin and sugar is a factor but it's clear you don't understand the underlying principles that make TR90 different. Agreed, rebound will happen when a person goes back to normal eating and this is where most all firsts fail ... and here is the IF. If they have reduced muscle, they will rebound due to lower ability to metabolize. This is where TR90 differs. It's been clinically shown to increase lean muscle mass while also lowering adipose tissue (fat) so after the program, your ability to metabolize is increase. This is one of the aspects where TR90 differs from other diets. Afterwards, your muscle is maintained or increased while fats are reduced. No other diets can offer this separated control on muscle and fats.

    2. I am not sure about TR90, but what I do understand of the human body is that you can't convert fat into lean muscles directly. Adipose fats are energy storage mechanism of our body, it is related with the receptor leptin; which controls hunger in our brains; something like a level control. You can increase lean muscle mass by proper exercise and nutrition regime which is being recommended by TR90 programme. However, overselling it as a fat converter is simply very wrong. Adipose fats will be converted to free fatty acids to be transported to our liver to be converted to glucogen, the glucogen will then give the cells the energy they need to function. The overall synthesis of fats, increases metabolism and as a result you will definitely lose fats and not muscles. In this situation, when you do resistance training or any form of exercise even HIIT, you will see brilliant results; which is not due to the TR90 itself.

      i) Do you have the published clinical trial on actual products of TR90 programme readily available online?

      ii) Is there a need to completely alter diet with meal replacements?

      iii) Has TR90 been proven clinically to address cholesterol and pre-diabetes or insulin issues with medical report guarantee buyback?

      At this day and time, validation is most important.
