Well, it's been a good ten years (or more, yikes!) since my last experience with hip hop dancing and when Oyhz suggested that we should try for Legacy Dance Co's Little Red Dot Vol. 3 together, I agreed!
Well, ideally we should try for the introduction class, for a 10 years break from dance altogether is definitely a big issue. But due to clashes with our schedule, we decided to pull out our courage (I have no idea where I found that much courage from) and signed up for the advanced beginner class.
HAHAHA!
Our two instructors for the day, Lester and Masagos.
Capturing those intense look on the fellow students' faces while trying to master the choreography. The biggest challenge of the class, other than to memorise the (many, many) moves, is to keep up with the pace. We're dancing to the rapping part of the song. Yes, RAP.
If you haven't seen the 15 seconds long choreography that we've done, you can check it out on my IG.
And sharing snippets of the introduction and beginner's classes.

This looks like a great experience. I'd love to be able to do it - but due to a knee surgery I cannot... But it looks like a lot of fun!
ReplyDeleteI have not danced hip hop for such a long time as well. Attending a class together with other dance enthusiasts make you more energetic and active to continue more sessions. :)
ReplyDeleteThis sure looks like a lot of fun. I'm no good at dancing but I'm always willing to try even if I look stupid doing it :)
ReplyDeleteI really like that there are a lot of dance workshops all over the world. It helps develop a lot of talent.
ReplyDeleteI love workshops! This makes me want to go sign up for a dance class.
ReplyDeleteOoooh a dance workshop. I don't suck at dancing but I also don't excel in it haha. But this sure looks a lot of fun for people who love music and dancing. The body workout after is just a bonus, plus getting to meet like minded people.
ReplyDeleteI've always wondered what it would be like to join a workshop like this! Haha! Unfortunately I cannot dance to save my life! :O
ReplyDeleteThis is quite nice i feel dancing is the best form of exercise where you enjoy and exercise at the same time.
ReplyDeleteDance is not my thing but this looks so fun. You'll definitely enjoy this one.
ReplyDeleteI am definitely not a dancer, but I envy those who can dance so well and look great doing so. It is really a great talent to have.
ReplyDeleteI love to dance but not really good at it. I think i should take up some dancing workshop to improve myself.
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing. Will you go for the October one? Can meet up if you are!
ReplyDeleteeh, probably not. you're going for vol 4?
Deletei love to dance and I miss dancing! i wanna join a dance workshop again as my bones needed some stretching lol
ReplyDeleteI'm not a hiphop fan but that class looks inviting. I shall pass this information along to my dancing cousins :)
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine joining a workshop like this. But watching the videos , I think this one fun experience to try.
ReplyDeleteI haven't try hip-hop dancing. But this workshop seems fun.
ReplyDeleteYour post made me miss dancing too! I've always wanted to get back also but because there's other priorities that keeps me busy, I always put aside the opportunities of dance classes. Dancing really needs dedication and time. Glad you're able to find time to get this lesson.
ReplyDeleteGreat dance class for hip-hop dancers and maybe for others who love to join. Dancing is fun and give more leeway to move with your body, heart and mind.
ReplyDeleteThanks for not posting our pics/vids. hahahhaa. Let's go for more entry-level classes if there's chance!
ReplyDeletemtv dance (but I think kena phased out by jpop dance and then now kpop dance) will be better?
Deletelooks cool! but not for me, thank you, my old bones are creaking away already :)
ReplyDeleteI love dancing but haven't tried attending a workshop. I just enroll in gyms that have group dancing, usually zumba and Hiphop. It seems intimidating to attend workshops because attendees would definitely be very good dancers.
