Getting Pretty Nails with Move Manicure [Sponsored]

Love to have impeccably manicured nails, but simply too lazy to head out to the nail salon?

Fret not, for Move Manicure will move (to) wherever you are, bringing the complete nail salon experience to your home.

Armed with a mobile station of nail polishes, accessory tools and even a foot soak basin, be rest assured that you will always get the best mani/pedi experience in the comfort of your home with Move Manicure.
But of course, you got to provide the luxurious, comfy couch, pleasantly chilly air-conditioned room and the delightfully warm and clean foot soak water yourselves. HAHA!
But honestly speaking, kudos to the dedication of their manicurists for having to lug the big and heavy trolley of their polishes and tools, and a foot soak basin, to all corners of Singapore just to give you a mani/pedi in your home.

Instead of the usual big brands, Move Manicure chose to use Nailise gel polishes instead, which is a relatively new line of nail products with a 13-free and vegan formula. No animal testing, yay!

And this is the part of having a classic manicure that I always do not enjoy, getting my cuticles pushed back and excess overhang snipped off. There're times when some (less skillful?) manicurists got too obsessed with all the pushing and snipping that it starts to sting (or even bleed! T.T). But my manicurist with Move Manicure was both quick and light handed, yet thorough and meticulous.

And as one of my guy pal, R always say, "Out of all the females I know, you always have very unique looking nails (art design)."
When I get my nails done, I'll always love to give my manicurist a good drawing challenge. But this time round, I have only myself to blame for a double-booking booboo and could only squeeze out 1 hour for the manicure. So there's definitely no time to attempt anything fancy and I was okay with just a solid coat of pink gel nails, but they were nice enough to offer doing at least something simple, in spite of me giving them only 1 hour.

And so I thought, how about a glam up French nails with golden tip?
But unfortunately, there wasn't any solid gold colour available in their stash of gel polishes, and I wasn't that keen on chrome or trying to achieve a clean tip with glitter polish, so I opted for glitter ombre instead.

Really like how my manicurist was quick and yet thorough with her work, always double-checking and comparing the intensity of the glitter ombre from nail to nail to ensure the consistency.
But she's also the first manicurist I've encountered, who looked totally at lost for what to do when I handed her my mobile phone and asked if she could help me take a picture (of my nails).
It was a rather funny moment when she thought I wanted her to take a photo of ME. HAHA!

Apart from the usual nail spa and mani/pedi, Move Manicure also provides mani/pedi packages catered for men and children. Apparently, they also provide nail services to elderly and may even offer discounted prices on a case-by-case basis.

BlogMeetSG #3 at The Nail Social

Did you remember about my first BlogMeetSg experience at Edit Lifestyle earlier this year? Well, just mid last week, I was really honoured to be invited by Lucy Waring of Lulabelle Lifestyle to be part of BlogMeetSg #3, a small pamper party session at The Nail Social.

And that's a seriously pretty staircase landing to welcome you as you climb up the flight of stairs to The Nail Social.

Just like the first #BlogMeetSG, it was a really cozy meet up with fellow bloggers and sponsors, while enjoying a complimentary quickie manicure or pedicure of our choice from The Nail Social.

Other than an exceptionally comfy chair, with a blanket at every seat for ladies wearing short skirts or dresses, you'll be glad to know that The Nail Social provides every customer with an iPad (and headphones!) for entertainment purposes while getting their nails done.

Snapping a picture of the set up while waiting in line for my quickie manicure....

It was finally my turn and I took a while to choose my colour from their range of OPI and Zoya polishes...

TADAA~ I know, it's either green or pink. I'm so predictable.
Because this OPI colour is a little too light, the manicurist gave me 3 coats of the colour to achieve a better opacity.

And of course, when you have a group of ladies together, you must have some sweet treats around, yeah?

These pamper cakepops by moofypops are just so adorable! They're like tiny women's head doing a pampering facial and impaled on sticks.... Erm, yeah... that explains why I didn't eat them.

So, I naturally chose to eat a bottle of nail polish instead.

Not enjoying the licorice cap that much, I was hoping for a tootsie roll but got licorice instead.

Other than ridiculously pretty sweet treats, we also got to make a sample of our own lip balm, all thanks to shophousesixtyfive.
Scooping a concoction of beeswax and a handful of other natural oils into our sample containers, add in a few drops of our choice of essential oil, and viola~

Our very own personalised shophousesixtyfive sample lipbalm for the night!

Just a side note, for all fellow coffee lovers out there, you absolutely have to try this out! Their Coffeeshop Kopi O lipbalm has this awesome, yummy coffee fragrance that's so uplifting (to coffee addicts like us).
You can get it at only $9.50 HERE

Another goodie we received that night is a sample bottle of a pure and organic argan oil from Ayelli.
I'm going to try this out on my recently bleached hair and come back with a more detailed review of this amazing product, so do watch this space yeah?

And did you think that was all? Of course not!

Our "door gift" for the day is a bottle of raw, fresh and pure coconut water from cocoloco and a full sized clarifiying cleanser from spotless. Spotless is also really generous to give all you lovely readers a 40% off any of their skin treatment cream if you quote MOLLY-MIA.
And as for the coconut water, it was pretty good! I do not truly enjoy drinking coconut juice/water due to a particular strong "coconut" sourish aftertaste that is a little unpleasant for me, but this tasted surprising light and refreshing! Even better, it's cold processed raw and without any additives or preservatives too!

Mia's Nail OOTD: Cartoon Nails

As I've said in my previous post, I'm a huge nail junkie. And this is my current nail look, the cartoon nails, inspired by cutepolish's animated cartoon nail look.
Sorry, shaky hands here. It's hard taking a good close up shot using Samsung Galaxy Note with just one hand.

And with bad lightings, which is also the reason why the nail art seems acceptable?

And finally, with proper lightings to show off all my jagged black outline. T.T

I've taken the easier way out by painting my whole nail black before painting on the turquoise coat to leave the black outline. With no stripper brush and extremely shaky hands, this is my own way out. The white exclamation marks are then drawn on using dotting tools and the look is finished with a layer of matte top coat.
Drop me some pointers!

Item used: Etude House polishes in Black and White, China Glaze For Audrey, Silky Girl base coat, Rimmel London Pro Matte mattifying top coat.
